The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society

Like the novel's main character, Mary Anne Shaffer fell in love with Guernsey and its fascinating history. On a whim she decided to fly to the island and it was during this time that she became fascinated by the German Occupation and the effects it had on Island life.

Her imagination was captured, leading her to pen this New York Times bestseller, adapted to a film, due for release in the UK on April 20th.

Be sure to take the tour on your next visit to Guernsey.
