Message From Our Chair

Our 15th Year Anniversary Celebration is coming up soon --- please join us on the 20th of February to mark this occasion.

Details and registration are below. This will be an exciting, fun evening so plan now to attend ---   and husbands/friends are welcome.

Our grant process is in full swing. The committee is meeting regularly and working with the proposals that have come in requesting grants for this year. The Grants Committee consists of chair Elizabeth Loda, Jean Henderson, Betty Irby, Carole Johnson, Alice McGill, Dottie McIlraith, Linda Mikkelson and Andy Purple. We are so thankful to this group of women who freely give of their time and hard work to make this process work. Grant-giving is the heart of our mission.

Also below you will see a photo of this year's Advisory Board. The board members all have a responsibility ---  such as membership, grants, etc. ---   and work with their committees to accomplish their goals. If you have any interest in joining a committee, please contact one of us. We are always looking for volunteers.

As always, we appreciate your membership and look forward to seeing you at the anniversary celebration on the 20th.

Stay warm and healthy through this winter weather!

Join Us For Our 15th Anniversary Celebration:
Tuesday Evening, February 20th

Your planning committee has been hard at work and soon you will see the results. February 20th will be here before we know it, so be sure to put it on your calendars in ink. (You will receive a party invitation in the mail shortly.)

This event is a chance for current members to honor the original founders of WIP and to mix and mingle while enjoying the music of a renowned pianist.

Tickets are $75 each. The food will consist of heavy hors d'oeuvres ranging from shrimp cocktail shooters to mini crab cakes to beef tenderloin carving station and more. Wine and beer are included as well. A cash bar will be available for those who prefer other libations.

Your reservations must be in by February 6. Your spouse/ friend/significant other is also welcome, but not required.

Women In Philanthropy has a lot to be proud of: Our endowment fund is over $1 million; we have given out $370,000 in grants; we built a Habitat House; and we will give out more than $70,000 in grants this year.

Come celebrate the power of women.
We've earned it!
