Pray for the Nations
January: Tanzania
Prayer Requests:
  • Pray for emphatic Biblical teaching in the churches that will, in turn, impact other spheres of society (i.e. poverty, witchcraft, radical Islam).
  • Pray for trained, mature Christian leaders who will be able to evangelize the unreached in a predominantly rural nation
  • Pray for more effective Bible translation teams and initiatives.

Introducing Eli Rowan Snell!
Congratulations to our P.E. teacher, Serah Snell and her husband, Jared, on the birth of Eli Rowan Snell born early this morning. He was 7lbs. 1oz. Mom and baby are doing great (as well as dad and big brother, Eric). We give thanks to God for this little blessing!

Association Meeting next Tuesday, Jan 23 at 7pm
Please make plans to attend next week's Association Meeting (ICACSA) on Tuesday. Important updates on the school will be covered by the HCS Board and Head of School Mike Annis. Attending these meetings is one of the best ways to stay "in the know" about what's happening behind the scenes at Heritage.
Heritage Business Directory
We'd love to promote your business within the Heritage Community! If you own a business or are closely connected to a business that may be of service to other Heritage families in any way, please contact Brenda Wichhart at [email protected] with details. As a Heritage family, we don't always know what everyone does so this is a great opportunity to be able to support one another and their businesses. Please contact Mrs. Wichhart by February 1st to be included in this listing of businesses owned and operated or used and trusted by parents, faculty, and staff.
Urgent! Lunch Server Needed on Wednesdays
We are looking for a lunch server for Wednesdays beginning immediately. The time commitment is from 11 am until 12:30pm. Volunteers will need to complete the Volunteer Application/Background check online before serving. If you are interested, please contact Brenda Wichhart at [email protected].
No After School Care on Friday, March 2
There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE from 3:30 to 5:30pm on Friday, March 2, 2018. This will allow our After School staff (and all of you) enough time to prepare and get to Bella Sala for our Educating for Eternity Event that evening. Pre-K after school will still take place until 3:30pm that day. This will only affect those in after care beginning at 3:30pm.

Summer Camp Opportunities at Heritage
Did the two week Christmas break remind you that you must be proactive in scheduling some things for the kids to keep busy with this summer? Be on the lookout for information on summer camp activities offered at Heritage this year. Different opportunities are being developed right now that include Art, Drama, Coding, and Playing Strategic Games. These camps are being designed for students entering 2nd through 8th grades.  More information will be available before the end of January.

Interest Fair - Friday, March 9
The time for this year's Interest Fair is rolling around.  This is an opportunity for students to showcase their area of interest and share their creativity so we can learn something new about them.  The 2018 Interest Fair is scheduled to take place from 8:45 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018.  This provides plenty of time to plan carefully for a presentation. Students will choose a topic they are currently doing as a hobby/activity.  This could include, but is not limited to, having pets, sports, video games, outdoor activities, dance, music, clubs/scouting groups, crafts, photography, etc.  All topics must be approved by their homeroom teacher by January 26, 2018.
Friday, March 2, at Bella Sala Event Center in Tiffin - Doors Open at 5PM for the Silent Auction and Dinner begins at 6PM.

Visit our website for details about our speaker Megan Fate Marshman or to find out how you can support EFE as a Table Host. Opportunity to purchase tickets will be coming soon!

The Eagles 5/6th boys and girls team competed against the LIS Panthers on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles 5/6 girls basketball team continues to show improvement on the court and work well together as a team, especially on the defensive end. The final score of the girls game was 8-16. The JV Eagles put their undefeated record on the line again Tuesday evening against Lutheran Interparish school. After taking care of LIS at home the tables turned after the Eagles traveled to Williamsburg gym.  The game was tight the whole way with the lead being exchanged the entire game but LIS ended up with the 1 point lead when the buzzer sounded.  The JV Eagles were greatly disappointed but are renewed and ready to take care of business and to finish their season strong.

Looking ahead, Connie Keel will be taking over the duties of Athletic Director beginning next week and continuing through early April, while Serah Snell is on maternity leave. During this time, you may contact Connie Keel at [email protected] for any athletic related inquiries.
