Dear Friends of the WOW Token Program,
Thank you for being part of the WOW token program. When we began the token program, our goal was to promote local shopping and community spirit by offering a keepsake token that could also be shown to receive discounts around town throughout 2017.
The WOW token discount program is now coming to an end. The last day to get discounts using the WOW token is March 31, 2018.
Thank you for your willingness to participate in the program, and for your support for WOW programs in general. We all have the same goal; to support the Woodbury community, and we appreciate our good relationships with our community stakeholders like you.

"Journey through Grief" Support Group

VITAS Healthcare is offering a free six-week bereavement support group. The group will be co-facilitated by Victoria Lazowski, LMSW & Taylor Clark, MSW intern and will explore the grief process through a variety of techniques while supporting each member individually in this safe, supportive environment. Please share this group information with any family/friends (seniors) that may be interested. Space is limited, so please sign up to register at the Senior Center- 203-263-2828. This group is a collaboration between VITAS Healthcare & the Woodbury Senior Center.

CT Women's Hall of Fame Exhibit

On Site at Woodbury Public Library and Woodbury Senior Community Center
Leading up to the program, the Woodbury Library will be hosting "We Fight for Roses, Too" an exhibit created by the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame. The exhibit is dedicated to the stories, struggles and achievements of the Inductees, women who have shaped the culture and society of Connecticut and the nation. Rather than focus solely on the photographs of each of the inductees, this exhibit showcases images that highlight the struggle of each woman's actions as a means of further reminding audiences that the quest for women's equality has not been an easy battle.

The interactive multi-media program highlights some of our state's most remarkable women. Be inspired as you learn about well-known figures like Ella Grasso, Katharine Hepburn and Marian Anderson and lesser known heroines like Maria Sanchez, Barbara McClintock and Hannah Watson. The presentation will also introduce participants to the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame, its mission and programs, and give you a panoramic view of some of its 118 Inductees from across all fields of endeavor, from politics and sports to the arts and sciences.

Free Movie Friday: Ferdinand

Ferdinand is a young bull who escapes from a training camp in rural Spain after his father never returns from a showdown with a matador. Adopted by a girl who lives on a farm, Ferdinand's peaceful existence comes crashing down when the authorities return him to his former captors. With help from a wisecracking goat and three hedgehogs, the giant but gentle bovine must find a way to break free before he squares off against El Primero, the famous bullfighter who never loses.
As always there is no admission but a suggested donation of a non perishable food item or toiletry to assist the Woodbury Food Bank would be appreciated!

Wonder, funds were raised to benefit the Connecticut Children's Hospital Craniofacial Team. The generous residents of Woodbury donated $100 and Pediatric Dental Associates of Southbury matched with a gift of $200!
