 Award-Winning Principal Takes Helm at Carver Middle

Sandra Edwards, the District's 2017-2018 Principal of the Year, is coming home to Delray Beach where she will lead Carver Middle School as the new principal. Her appointment was announced at the Board Meeting on February 21.

"I'm very excited about this opportunity," Edwards said at the Board Meeting. She talked about being born and raised in Delray Beach and her excitement about the new position being a homecoming of sorts for her. The annual Career and Technical Education Recognition Dinner honors the time and effort teachers and administrators put in to make sure Palm Beach County students have a world-class education.
Dr. Robinson to Join Mayor, Riviera Beach City Council for Town Hall on School Safety 

School Board Member Dr. Debra Robinson will join Mayor Masters and the  City of Riviera Beach  Council for a Town Hall Meeting on safety at and near our schools. The community is encouraged to come out and join the conversation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at  John F. Kennedy Middle School.

The District's K-12 STEM Department  partnered with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and NASA to form a unique educational program called "Growing Beyond Earth." The program consists of in-classroom botany experiments that help NASA learn more about optimal growing conditions of plants that can be used aboard spacecraft. Watch the video...
