Rev. Paul's Inspirational Message
HOME
Good Day Family,

Home is a concept about which I have preached and written often. Many think of it only in terms of a place or dwelling, but it is much more than that. It is a sense of peace and well-being that comes from being in a space where you have felt loved and safe, joyful and at peace. When the body of Christ functions at its best, it offers, to those who share its fellowship, the ultimate experience of home. For when the church of Jesus Christ is inhabited by the people of God, filled with the presence of God, there exists an experience of fellowship like no other. The first century believers described this experience as Koinonia...the ultimate experience of fellowship with God and other believers.

Genuine home is also characterized by a sense of acceptance and affirmation without judgement. When the church functions in this way, all of its members can be their authentic best, without feeling a need to wear a false face or front to please or impress others. The feeling of home is also healthy. It promotes well-being, and well-being promotes health, healing and wholeness.

Home doesn't just happen, as many can attest who never experienced this in their family of origin. We must actively work to create it. If you experienced this in your family as a child, be sure that there was a parent who was intentionally working to create this environment and atmosphere for the family. So, if you desire to experience this powerful sense of home that I describe, then you must work hard to make it happen. You can be the catalyst in your family, in your church or even on your job to make home happen. You can do it!  I promise that the results will be a blessing to all who are a part.
