A PERSONAL NOTE
Hi,
The word
design has been cropping up for me a lot lately, when I work with clients and their troubling issues, when I teach spiritual development to my metaphysical students, and when I think about my family's and my own difficult circumstances. It's the word that keeps popping up, lending itself to insight and growing understanding.
It means that your whole life, the pattern that you wanted to live out, has been figured out or designed before you took your first breath. So, when you feel battered by life, overwhelmed by your current problems, think on the fact that you were the co-creator of the whole design. You more or less wrote the script.
In my life, one of my kids is having frustration in her job search, which seems to be going nowhere. I reminded her that she didn't design her life to end up starving! She designed it to meet her challenges and find the avenues that would allow her to address these challenges successfully. Another kid is facing a harsh disease, so I'm trying to remind him that he needs to find a purpose for being here and also that miracles can and do happen, and that you should create your own reality and not always just buy into some authority figure's opinion.
Even when a family member passes, might it be, not merely a tragedy of loss, but an expression that that soul has decided to exit, for whatever reason, at that time?
These are deep issues and very profound thoughts. Saturn in Capricorn, and me being a Capricorn, brings such serious stuff to mind and demands somber addressing of one's karma. I like the word design, or the concept that
you've designed your script, because it puts control back in your hands. It gives you the way to frame the difficult event as though you're not the puny victim but the wise and willing participant. Life doesn't allow the perfection of lack of suffering. We all go through these periods of struggle sooner or later; it's our lessons and it's how we're being taught to grow and learn compassion.
That's what I designed! Growth, empathy, and wisdom.

MARCH 2018 ASTRO TIDBITS
Week 2 in the World chart is fortunate for finances (
Jupiter station retrograde in Scorpio
), with splendid potential for innovation (
Mars trine Uranus
) but not without frustrating delays (

). The 14th is not favorable for romance (
Venus square Saturn
). The 17th shows a new start for aggressions (

). The 24th brings pressures upon finances (

), but the 27th shows exciting happenings (

). Month's end offers sensible long-term planning (

For the United States, most of March indicates subtle rebellion (

The concept of co-creating reality has been around in metaphysics for quite some time, and is beginning to permeate our mainstream thinking.
It is the idea that there is a
correlation between your thoughts - that is, the constructed thoughtforms that everyone unconsciously produces minute by minute - and your subsequent experience, and that these thoughts can be manipulated deliberately with full awareness to shift from depressing, despairing, hopeless or anxious thoughts, and reframe or reform them as to see the positive in whatever you are chewing on at the moment. In other words, to find the silver lining of your current experience, and thus discover your empowerment to take control of your future.
To do so takes a lot of awareness in each present moment to evaluate whether your thoughts are negative about the circumstances or situation, and to detach yourself enough from these thoughts in order to begin the process of reframing, revamping that which you are continuously producing in your mind.
This is not an easy process because with each upsetting or despairing or aggravating thought-construction a certain amount of emotion is generated in you. We're not talking about upbeat emotions! The emotion may be that of worry; it could be that of fear; it could be that of anger, resentment, frustration, and therefore it is hard work to detach yourself from the emotion that has been generated by the negative thought since it has great power over you. But to do so is called inner work.
Inner work is not a walk in the park! It's not called "work" for nothing! It takes understanding; it takes the intelligence to identify the negative thought and switch it to something better; and it takes effort and courage to try doing it. We have not been taught this method. We have not been raised with a belief that it is even possible. However, if somewhere along the line, you find yourself capable of doing this
conscious shift, you can begin to co-create your next reality. That is to say, the way events will begin to shape up for you will follow these new thought patterns and begin to look better, more hopeful, and moving in a more positive direction.
Only you can do this. No external person can do it for you because it all takes place in your mind. But if you find yourself successful, you will begin to understand the meaning of co-creating your reality. You will begin living the truth:
Change your thoughts, change your reality.
The visionary psychic Edgar Cayce told us, "Mind is the builder."

BOOK REVIEW: "Before the Pharaohs: Egypt's Mysterious Prehistory" - by Edward F. Malkowski (Bear & Co., 2006)
Have you ever wondered how the ancient Egyptians were able to build massive pyramids and move incredibly heavy blocks of granite with perfect precision, or carve the Sphinx, or have a body of mathematical and metaphysical knowledge while surrounded by a world stuck in primitive societies?
Chapter by chapter, the author presents scientific evidence to build a very persuasive theory about the origins of ancient Egyptian knowledge and achievements. Using the findings of many different scientific disciplines - from geology to dentistry - he presents the revolutionary concept of a full-blown civilization dating back tens of thousands of years only to be decimated by catastrophe around 8000 B.C.E.
Among the many scientific and related matters addressed are water erosion and rainy climates, archeological evidence from the Giza plateau and the Nabta Playa, older pyramids and temples displaying better, not lesser, architectural precision, astronomical alignments of monuments with celestial movements, the Great Pyramid as a geomechanical power plant rather than a funerary building, many ancient theologies, most oral traditions, Mediterranean anomalies such as Malta, and the symbolic meanings of ancient Egypt's art, architecture, and theology.
I remember seeing a video some while back which was radical at the time, proposing that the erosion patterns of the Sphinx indicated water rather than wind erosion. The dating, therefore, would require the age of the Sphinx to be pushed back greatly in its origin. Current Egyptologists who have much invested in the narrative of Pharaonic Egypt and its very profitable industry were quite resistant to this theory. However, as presented against an overwhelming background of scientific evidence, it is apparent that the oldest pharaohs emerged from a culture that already had written language and a fully fleshed out metaphysics, a culture that was not as primitive as all others in pharaonic times.
The author also investigates the technology inherent in the Great Pyramid, questioning its purported purpose as a fancy tomb since all findings lack any typical funerary remains, and looks at the mysterious purpose of shafts, chambers, protruding copper rods and so forth. He returns time and again with an expert machinist, Christopher Dunn, who in repeated studies of the pyramid reaches the conclusion that, rather than a giant tomb, it is a geomechanical power plant using harmonic resonance to collect and channel the earth's vibrations. Quite detailed and technical, with diagrams of how the expert, Mr. Dunn, postulates the workings of the Giza Power Plant, this part of the book itself is worth the read.
The author astutely interprets the ancient Egyptian symbols as expressing the way sound (or vibration) works, how ancient Egypt regarded the entire universe as a gigantic act of magic, how the legendary divine figure of Thoth (called Hermes Trismegistus, thrice-great Hermes, by the Greeks later) was esteemed from ancient Egypt's predynastic history, how the Sphinx which might have been built 50,000 years ago and rather than being a male is a female, and before becoming a Pharaoh was a lion (and why), how a much more ancient land than Egypt was called Bu Wizzer, ultimately morphing into Osiris, how the Sahara periodically experienced wetness and then aridity, how satellites can see ancient riverbeds and lakes near the Nile, how very ancient (predynastic) structures reveal incomprehensible precision of building with enormous blocks, and even how there is correlation between the spiritual cosmology of the Mayans with the Egyptians.
All evidence points to a theory that Cro-Magnon culture appeared around the Mediterranean tens of thousands of years ago, built a high level of civilization and then experienced a catastrophe - a great flood - which evidence points to having happened in the Mediterranean Sea when the natural dam of Gibraltar collapsed, inundating the area and wiping out most of this ancient civilization except for a pocket that remained in the Nile Valley.
This well-written, comprehensive research really forces one to open one's mind and rethink all of history. The mystery of ancient Egypt cries out to be solved. The evidence corroborating the universal as well as Biblical story of a Great Flood makes this book a valuable read. It makes a lot of sense. Highly recommended.

In due time, it will be shown that you are one of those who have dedicated their lives to witness the change of the ages and the reawakening of spirit. You are not the single individual as you have known yourself all your life, but one of a group who have come forth to appreciate, document, participate, and witness a great changeover for humanity.
What will come forth is not as it has been expected. Neither a great cataclysmic event, sometimes called Apocalypse, sometimes Rapture, nor the incremental stages that often mark the cusp of a new age. Instead, this time it will be revealed that time and energy, past and future, moment and hour, and the great panoply of history are but the fictional constructs of the group mind. And then the group mind will endeavor to experiment with this new power, and just create different stories about reality.
What can be expected is that there will be many differing stories, that is to say, a smorgasbord of realities from which to choose. The age's birth will thus be quite confusing. Not the singular event, as foretold, nor the drip by drip piecemeal change as was witnessed and understood through the course of history, but a radical difference - that being that the age will come upon us as many theories, separate narratives, and a mishmash that will be hard to sort through and make sense of.
The challenge in this highly unusual and innovative Age of Aquarius will be for the group mind to notice itself in the process of co-creating, to realize that reality exists as a story in one's mind, and to eventually sort through the multiplicity of realities and filter them down into the few that hold water, or pass muster with the majority of individual minds.
This is not an instant process but a long-term experience, quite new, unencountered, unlike anything that has gone before, that humanity will find itself challenged by, but ultimately triumphant in the realization that the mind creates the reality, the group (or consensus) mind supports the most attractive or believable of such, and the Mind of God is in fact the entire collaborative amalgam of such.
Thought, and its nature, are the next frontier.
