Weekly Update - January 19, 2018


Dear School Parents,
 
Blessings of the New Year!  It's an exciting time at St. Michael Catholic School as we get ready for Catholic Schools Week and have already begun enrollment for the 2018-19 School Year.
 
In November we hired Mrs. Kate Hamill to serve as our Interim Principal until the end of the school year.  I've been very pleased with the good work she has been doing and the many positive reports I'm receiving from parents.
 
As I explained when Mrs. Hamill was hired, we intended to start the search for our long-term principal in January.  I have begun that process by posting the position on the archdiocesan website, and I am also putting together an interview committee.  We will also soon have the position posted locally.
 
In answer to a frequently asked question, the position is open to all candidates including Mrs. Hamill.  We will allow some time for resumes to come in, but I hope we can conclude this process by spring break in March. 
 
Please let me know if you have any questions.  I'm looking forward to Catholic Schools Week and celebrating the great things happening at our school.  We're glad your family is a part of our school family.
