Meet The Makers and Creators
of what we love about The Hudson Valley

We spent the end of 2017 getting to know so many of the business owners within the Hudson Valley's Food and Beverage Industry. Each and every one of them contribute something special to our local economy. It is amazing the amount of hard work, dedication, and love that goes into the products that they make, and they all have incredible stories to tell.

We hope to meet many more of these inspirational individuals so we can continue to spread the word about the many hidden joys of the Hudson Valley.
And thank you to everyone who has spoken with us thus far!

Catskill Mountain Sugar House, owned and operated by the Garigliano family, makes farm fresh, organic, maple syrup in Grahamsville, New York. At this time of year, their team is working all day to tap the 65,000 trees that produce their sap.

"It's not for the faint of heart, 'cause January weather can be a challenge in the Catskills. It's pretty brutal," John Garigliano, who oversees day-to-day operations, told us.

John makes sure that their syrup is stored in stainless steel containers until just before it is packaged to deliver to customers. To make the high-quality product that their customers expect, Catskill Mountain Sugar House places intense care on the filtering, storing, and cleaning throughout their production process. They have their own brand of maple syrup that can be found at various grocery and specialty stores; however, their maple syrup also serves customers for ingredients from salad dressings to granola; "you name it, we sell it".
