ATTENDANCE UPDATE
Attendance Numbers Climb Mid-Week

Monday's total attendance was 3,859, down 769 people (-17%) over 2017's Monday of 4,628. On the Monday in 2016 there were 3,446 attendees.

Tuesday's total attendance was 4,174, a decrease of 155 people (-4%) over 2017's Tuesday of 4,329. On the Tuesday in 2016 there were 2,683.

Wednesday's total attendance was 5,317, an increase of 9% over 2017's Wednesday of 4,891. On the Wednesday in 2016 there were 4,287.

As of Wednesday, overall attendance is up by 2% over the five-year average.

Canadian Boat Shows utilizes a system of counting each attendee once, ensuring that each person/ticket is counted one time only - unlike a turnstile system that often counts consumers and exhibitors multiple times.

Final attendance is determined by counting each paid admission ticket at the box office, e-ticket, exhibitor guest ticket, complimentary ticket, exhibitor badge, marine trades badge, and children.
June Wan Draws Asian Media Interest

in a sailboat.
June Wan, the first Chinese Canadian woman to circumnavigate the globe in a sailboat, and a Mandarin speaker with her Go With the Wind presentation at this year's boat show, has attracted significant interest by Asian media.

  • A1 Chinese Radio

Move-Out Notices Distributed Today

Move-out coordination is well underway, and if you submitted a Boat Handling Request Form, you will receive a move-out notice today.

Please direct any questions you have to move-out coordinator Shawn McConnell at the Show Office or at 416-574-9826.

To assist with a smooth process, we ask that all exhibitors click here and review move-out guidelines.

Occupational Health and Safety regulations are the same during move-out as they were during move-in.

With hundreds of people and vehicles vacating the building at the same time, Sunday will be extremely hectic. We kindly ask you to remain patient and assist with the process of a safe move-out.
Public Safety Reminder

Please remember this weekend to caution visitors to watch their step and use handrails when navigating stairs and getting on and off boats and platforms.
All-Day Workshops Well-Received

Saturday, 9am to 5pm,
Mia Karlsson and Andy Schell present "Preparing for Ocean Sailing."
In addition to our 250+ free seminars and workshops, this year we offered a selection of longer presentations for which participants pre-registered and paid a fee.

All have been well-received!
Please Dispose of Your Own Garbage

During move-out, we encourage exhibitors to remove their own shrinkwrap, skids, and leftover wood from the Enercare Centre.

Large bins will be placed around the halls for garbage disposal. Please use them, and keep the floor safe and clean.

The show is charged for garbage removal from the floor, and your efforts during move-out can help keep space costs down.
Don't Get Tagged & Towed

A reminder that unauthorized vehicles on Manitoba Drive and in the east and west loading docks will be tagged.

Vehicles parked there Saturday and Sunday will be tagged and towed.

Help us to help you! We all want a smooth, efficient move-out, and illegally parked vehicles will impede the flow, causing move-out delays and frustration for everyone.
Take a Break in the Exhibitor Lounge

Located in Salon 102 (just west of the Show Office), the Exhibitor Lounge offers a quiet break from the show, FREE internet service, a microwave for your use, soup, salad, sandwiches, a hot dish of the day, and a selection of beverages.

Today's hot dish is meat lasagna with garlic bread for $14.50.

First Aid Procedures at the Show
