Dear

There is pain in life.

"Ok...Nice way to say good morning, David."

Yeah, but it's true right?

We get laid off during a recession. We're hit from behind at an intersection. The test results indicate cancer.

Things happen to us in life, because it's, well...life.

And we did not get a choice. If we did it would have been "no thanks."

Bummer!

This weekend, however, I'm going to talk about the kind of pain where choice is involved.
  • Pain of exercising now - pain of poor health late.
  • Pain of studying now - pain of retaking the class later.
  • Pain of saying "no" to temptation now - pain of consequences later.
  • Pain of living within your means now - pain of getting out of debt later.
We get to choose between the pain of discipline and the pain of regret.

That's what the message is about this weekend.  You might want to make sure your teenagers are with you. You'll hear some really good news about Jesus too.  Christ living in me is stronger than the wrong desires in me.  I hope you will be here Sunday for I Choose ...Discipline over Regret. I'm sure you won't regret it!

See you Sunday,
David Emery
