We're Improving How You Get Paid with True Pay

Dear School Support Leaders,

Starting July 1, DPS is improving how our team members are paid and simplifying how most of our employees request and track time off. With True Pay, our new time and pay system, all team members will receive two paychecks each month, one on the 7th and one on the 22nd. If the 7th or 22nd are on weekends or holidays, in most cases you will be paid the weekday before.

For all of us, this means more frequent, accurate paychecks and the ability to more accurately track your time off and available leave. It also means pay stubs that are easier to understand and no more paper timesheets. Classroom teachers will continue to use Smart Find Express to request and report time off and schedule substitutes.

How does this affect your pay?

Effective July 1, this change will affect how we're paid, and we want to be sure you and your team have time to prepare. We're developing calendars to help team members understand what their summer pay schedules look like.

In the meantime, encourage your team members to look at their W4 tax exemptions and make necessary changes to their automatic billing cycles (for energy, phone or water accounts, for example).

As a member of Team DPS, you have free access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Call 855-327-1377 to talk with certified public accountants and certified financial planners for help with budgeting, debt management, tax issues and other money concerns.

Questions?

We understand this is a significant change, and it's likely you'll receive questions from your team. To start, we created thecommons.dpsk12.org/truepay and an FAQ for you to share and to help navigate this change.

If you have questions about this change, contact [email protected] or call 720-423-3900 and select option two.

Warm regards,
Susana
