The Girl Scout Birthday on March 12th commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low officially registered the organization's first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia.

Do you have an interest in research and nature? This family fun day will be exploring people-powered research conducted by regular members of the community. Learn how you can contribute to these databases and become a citizen scientist. We will be learning how to use iNaturalist, Globe, and Zooniverse. This event is suitable for all ages.  This is a free, family friendly event in the Discovery Room.

Do you have an interest in birds? Learn how to spot and identify bird's right here in Idaho. Draw these beautiful birds into your backyard by making a bird feeder. This event is perfect for the whole family.  This is a free, family friendly event in the Discovery Room.

The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho- Idaho Falls
Art for Scouts
March 6, April 10 or May 1 from 4pm-5pm
A tour opportunity for Boy Scout and  Girl Scout troops. Tours include a guided exhibit exploration and a hands-on art lesson with a museum art instructor.  $2 per Scout. Pre-registration is required, so click here to learn more and to register!

The ARTitorium- Idaho Falls

Is your Girl Scout dreaming about warmer days and what she is going to spend her hard earned cookie dough on this upcoming summer? Go to one of our resident camp sessions at  Camp Alice Pittenger in McCall or  Camp Ta-Man-A-Wis near Swan Valley! 


Session Highlights @ Camp Alice Pittenger 
  • Want to attend camp with your Girl Scout? Check out the Girl's Weekends options including Get Groovy in the 60's and Back to Basics! We also have space available in the "Into the Galaxy" Jack and Jill session!
  • How about going to CAP with your troop? Check out Core Camp options!
  • Is your Girl Scout crazy about hoses? We have space in our horse session, named Pioneer Girl! 
Session Highlights @ Camp Ta-Man-A-Wis
  • Experience camp with the entire family at Family Camp! You will enjoy staff-lead activities like archery, hiking and s'mores!
  • You can also go to TAM with your troop at Core Camp!
  • Girls can also attend the "Calamity Jane" session to learn knot tying, knife safety, and enjoy the Palisades Reservoir!

I Froze My Cookies Off
We know girls are working hard to sell Girl Scout Cookies in the cold weather. Your hard work is not going unnoticed!

Starting now through March 7th, when you take a photo of your Girl Scout(s) selling cookies and submit HERE, you will earn the "I Froze My Cookies Off" patch, FOR FREE!

Cookie Sale Options
Girls can continue to sell, both with their troop at Booth Sales, or as an individual. Contact your troop leader to get cookies for Walk-A-Bouts, Mom and Me Booths, and selling at church for "Scout Sunday", here's how:
  • Join a Booth Sale with your Troop!
    • Ask your troop leader if you can help at troop Booth Sale.
  • Do a Walk-A-Bout - Inside or Out!
    • Contact a local business and ask to sell cookies to their employees by loading up a Cookie Cart and stopping at each cubicle.
    • Load up your little red wagon with Girl Scout Cookies, put on some gloves and hit up your neighbors for just "1 more Box" to help get you to your goal.
  • Mom and Me Booth Sales! (1 adult, 1 girl Booth Sales)
    • Host your own Girl Scout Cookie Booth with three easy steps:
      • 1. Take the online  Mom and Me Booth Sale Training and sign the Contract.
      • 2. Get Cookies from your troop.
      • 3. Select an available Booth slot with your troop leader or find your own location.
  • Scout Sunday (March 11th)
    • Talk to your religious leaders and ask if they will support Scout Sunday by allowing you to set up a Cookie Booth after your service

Girl Scout Swim Night in Idaho Falls
April 7, 6pm-8pm
Girl Scouts of all ages, come splish and splash at the Wes DeistAquatics Center to celebrate a great finish to the cookie season! Bring your family and friends and have fun at the pool. Children under 5 must have an adult in the pool with them. When registering, please register ALL that will be attending, including adults.  There will be a $2.00 fee per swimmer to be paid when you arrive at the pool. Gemstone Rock Climbing in Twin Falls
May 12, 10am-12pm
Girl Scouts Brownie and older, enjoy learning how to rock climb at Gemstone Climbing with your fellow Girl Scout friends for only $15 per Girl Scout. Spend two hours climbing on an indoor rock wall and learn what belayers do! To learn more and to register, click here!
 
GoldieBlox Kits
Available for Troop Check-Out!
Is your Daisy or Brownie Troop wanting to earn the new Mechanical Engineering badges? Sign up to reserve a GoldieBlox troop kit provided by funding from the Idaho STEM Action Center! Troops can keep the kit for a month, and it contains what you need to earn the three badges! Choose your local Girl Scout office to reserve a kit today:
Any troop who borrows a kit, will be asked to agree to a User Agreement before receiving a kit. Check it out here!
Kits are not available for purchase.
Also, DIY versions of the badges are available on the VTK!
Jubilation: June 8-10, 2018

Registration is open for adults and girls!
  • 1 adult in your group registers as a group leader and all other adults register as an additional adult. All adults pay at sign up.
  • Girls - Register now and don't pay at this time. You will have payment options after cookie sales complete.

  • If you add a sign to your cookie booth that says you are selling to go to Jubilation and post a picture of it and your booth to the Jubilation app, you will be entered to win a special prize drawing at Jubilation!
Girl Scouts Talent Show!
The deadline has been extended! The Jubilation Committee and MCs are looking for individual girl or troop submissions for the Jubilation Talent Show submit a 3-4 minute video audition no later than April 1, 2018. Click here for complete requirements.
