Dear St. Isidore Families,
Live Love Laugh
I realize, more than ever, that each day is truly a gift from God and that each person has a purpose. It is easy to lose sight of this with our busy schedules. Time moves fast and the days seem to turn to months and the months to years. Lent is a wonderful reminder to slow down and reflect on what truly matters and how to use the time God has gifted you. I encourage you to LIVE with promise, LOVE with passion, and LAUGH with pleasure.
Last week’s school shooting in Florida was a heartbreaking and senseless tragedy. Every time something of this nature occurs I am filled with sadness, shock, and concern for students across the country. We pray for the families and friends of the victims as well as their entire school community. Please know that the safety of your children is top priority for me and for our staff. We take every precaution possible and have practiced plans in place. Our school works with our local safety and security agencies to ensure that our safety procedures are up to date. We make adjustments when necessary or advised. Faculty, staff, and students practice safety drills each month, as well as review proper protocols. Moreover, faculty and staff have been trained for emergency situations. We have installed cameras throughout our campus as well. We are currently working with our safety consultant to conduct an overall safety review for our school, as well as researching new safety apps that may be beneficial during an emergency. We ask that you, as parents and guardians, report any suspicious activity to us and the proper authorities. I pray to God the violence stops.
