Order Your Own Lafayette Flag!
In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the City of Lafayette, the City is offering flags with the City logo on them. Two sizes, 3x5 feet and 5x8 feet. See attached form for cost and ordering information.

Flags are digitally printed with the Lafayette City logo printed in color on a white background on heavy nylon, bound around the perimeter and fitted with brass grommets on one end. The flag has about a one year outdoor life span on a pole. Deadline to order is Tuesday, April 3. Personal delivery in 3 to 4 weeks. 6th Annual FREE Camp & School Fairs
Saturday and Sunday, February 24-25, 11am-2pm
Free Camp & School Fairs return to the East Bay for the sixth year on the Feb. 24-25 weekend with free activities and over 60 exhibitors allowing attendees to view a smorgasbord of camps, enrichment programs, schools, S.T.E.M. & S.T.E.A.M. programs, performing arts, preschools, cooking, educational, sports and other programs available this spring and summer. The free fairs run from 11am-2pm each day. On Saturday, Feb. 24, the Tri-Valley Camp & School Fair is again in San Ramon at Pine Valley Middle School Auditorium and then on Sunday, Feb. 25, the Contra Costa Camp & School Fair is being held for the sixth year in Lafayette at Acalanes High School with ample free parking at both locations. www.ContraCostaCampFair.com

Lamorinda Arts Council's 15th annual High School Visual Arts Competition
The High School Visual Arts Competition is open to all high school students living in and/or attending public or private school, including all schools in the Acalanes Union High School District, in the Lamorinda area, defined as Moraga, Lafayete and Orinda. The registration deadline is February 23 at midnight. Students will exhibit their work at the Orinda Library Gallery from March 1st to 26th. An Artists & Awards Reception will be held at the gallery on March 7th from 7-8:30pm. Elfenworks Center for Responsible Business at Saint Mary's College Conference on Business and Human Rights

60th annual Rotary Career Night

Registration for the 2018 A Runner's Mind Jig and Jog is now open! This year, we're shaking things up a bit, introducing a whole new way to race! The Jig and Jog is a prediction-style race that puts the fun back in racing. Runners will provide their "predicted" finishing time prior to the start. Those who finish the closest to their predicted time will win fantastic prizes! The rules are simple: no mile markers, no clocks, no GPS devices. Connected Horse programs at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center in Orinda
Based on the innovative Connected Horse Research at UC Davis, Xenophon is offering 4 week Equine Assisted Workshops for people with early stage dementia and their care partners. No horse experience necessary, all activities from the ground, no riding. Participants must be ambulatory and have the physical stamina to be at the barn for 2-3 hours. Care givers and persons with dementia must be able to participate as a pair. This new experience offers participants the opportunity to benefit from non riding activities with horses. Benefits can include improved non verbal communication, increased confidence, improved sleep and reduced feelings of depression or anxiety. View Flyer. 2018 Moraga Community Faire & Car Show

Save the date! The 12th Annual Moraga Community Faire & Car Show put on by the Moraga Chamber of Commerce will be on Saturday, May 12th, 11:00-4:00pm at the Rheem Valley Shopping Center! AARP Free Tax Assistance

IRS-certified AARP Tax-Aide volunteers provide free tax preparation for low-moderate income Contra Costa County residents. This service is offered to people of all ages, with special attention to those 50+. One appointment per tax return can be scheduled.
