Under the Layers
I found something lying around outside Westminster Presbyterian Church. Take a look. It’s a piece of the Beta Bridge–that colorful-message-painted bridge out on Rugby Road, the bridge that crosses over the train tracks right outside our front door. It’s not a piece of concrete.

Praying for People
Here are some of the prayers shared during "Prayers of the People" this past Sunday

David Garth: Prayers for the safety of six members of our church and 30 others who will be attending the Martin Luther King Jr. 26th annual Vigil and Advocacy Day tomorrow in Richmond.

Jim and Wendy Craig ask for prayers for their daughter, Laura, who has breast cancer. Laura lives in Atlanta.

Aaron Heflin, prayers for his dad David who has recently been hospitalized due to complications from his knee surgery.

Carol Brinkerhoff thanked everyone for their prayers and support. She received good news from a recent bone density scan and cat scan, no cancer! She also expressed her gratitude for all those great folks in the medical field.

David Strider asked for prayers for Hanah Clark who was injured in a car accident in Ohio. Prayers for her parents and family.

Rickie Weikle reports that his friend Madison, who has cancer in her leg is doing well. She is happy and is an inspiration to all, a wonderful spirit.

Rosemary Beard asked for prayers for Shauna Jones and Ed Schyler, their 18 month old baby has just been diagnosed with leukemia.

Mary Sullivan would like prayers for a co-worker's boyfriend who has glioblastoma and vision loss.
