Dear Brothers & Sisters,

I am looking forward to my first Unity Gala with all of you!  I would like to thank our two Chairs Faye Shillair and Katy Murray who have been doing an amazing job bringing this event together.  As you know our Unity Gala will be held February, 10th at 7 pm at Moonlight Studios.  I encourage you to purchase your tickets on our website.

We are still accepting donations for our auction.  Please consider donating sport or concert tickets, vacation homes or other items.  Be on the lookout for auction items donated by some of our priests.  Fr. Dominic Grassi has generously donated a home-cooked eight-course Italian dinner for six people at his apartment.  I have donated a couple of items to the auction.  I will be offering an opportunity for three people to come golfing with me at Butterfield Country Club, caddies and lunch included.  I'm also offering an opportunity for three junior golfers to come golfing with me at Sydney Marovitz golf course and enjoy some on-course tips on how to improve their game.

You will be able to bid on these items during our online auction, accessible through our home page, from Friday, February 2 through Thursday, February 8th at 10 pm.  This year, all items except for class projects will be offered through the online auction, and there will be no silent auction at the event itself.

This year, Fund-A-Cause will be in support of WAITING FOR DETAILS projects at St. Josaphat School.  Even if you cannot attend the Unity Gala, please consider donating to these Fund-A-Cause projects.  You will be able to submit a donation on our online auction site, or you can always send a check to the parish office.

Finally, as you know, our Unity Gala also offers financial support to people and organizations that exemplify the spirit of bringing people together and making the Gospel present. This year we will honor the work of the Franciscans of the Eucharist at Our Lady of the Angels Mission.  They do a remarkable job serving the people in their community through their food pantry as well as their outreach to children and elderly in their neighborhood.  Please mark your calendars for the 10:00 am Mass on Sunday, February 4th when we will present them with our Unity Award and a $10,000 check.

If you would like to purchase tickets, you can do so at this link.

I hope to see all of you at our Unity Gala.  I know it will be a wonderful event!

God Bless,

New Policy for Children in the Rectory
Jesus says, "Let the little children come to me." We love having children at the rectory. However, to keep in compliance with the Archdiocesan program for keeping children safe, we cannot have children under the age of 18 in the rectory without constant adult supervision. If you are in the rectory with your children, please keep them with you in your meeting. Thank you.
