Nominate an Amazing Team or Teammate for a Night of Honor Award
Dear Teachers,

As we work to build our shared culture and make DPS the best place for our kids to learn and grow, a simple recognition can be a springboard to elevate our efforts. A "thank you" to a teammate who went above and beyond for a student, a kudos for a colleague who led by example in a difficult situation or a shout-out to a team that showcased our Shared Core Values are all small gestures that can have big outcomes.

And there has never been a better opportunity to share a recognition than now by
submitting a nomination for our Night of Honor awards -- our annual opportunity to commend those leading the way to build a stronger Team DPS by living our Shared Core Values and, in turn, transforming our culture.
  • Leadership Lamp: This extraordinary honor is reserved for four individuals each year who are making a difference and actively living all of our Shared Core Values.
  • Excellence in Teams: If you've seen a team going above and beyond -- whether it's a second-grade team, custodial staff or science team -- nominate them today.
  • Family Leadership: Recognize a DPS parent or family who is making a positive impact in your school community.
Nominations are due Friday, March 23. Questions? Call 720-423-2495 or email [email protected].

Warm regards,
Susana

Enter Scores for Constructed Response Items in Illuminate
With the second interim assessment window closing Feb. 26, it's important that educators score the constructed response items and enter the scores into Illuminate. Scores that are not entered into the app roll into a student's overall score as a zero, which could impact the validity of the results and the reports you are using for DDI. The Item Type Scoring Guide is a quick overview of the different types of items on the district supplemental assessments and how they are scored. Make sure you have all the information to make the best instructional decisions.
