After implementing price caps on knee implants in 3Q17, India will soon have a similar cap on hips. Knee implant prices in India were slashed between 59% and 69% in August 2017. The expectation is that hip prices will be cut similarly. 
 
AMBER, a research center headquartered at the college, is already partnered with DePuy Synthes in Ireland. This new lab is slated to open by year-end, with an initial focus on orthopaedic projects.
