Triad Tri Team Newsletter
January 2018

From the President
Happy New Year! Winter has officially come to the Triad, and the temperatures have been hitting us harder than usual lately. As you look to get into early season training, be sure to bundle up and layer appropriately to stay warm and safe outside. We're working on finalizing a few indoor training opportunities over the course of the winter, so keep your eyes open for those.

Also, keep in mind this year that we've got the Northeast Duathlon as our first 2018 TTT Race Series race, which is coming up in late February, so it's not too far away. As the race approaches, we'll be looking to get some training rides and runs of the course in, assuming the weather cooperates with us. Even if you're not planning to race in that one, we would still love to see you come out and get in some early season training with the team. Don't forget you can also get race series points for volunteering at the TTT tent or with the race organizers. Volunteering with the race organizers is a great way to give back to the local race community, and cheer on your fellow local athletes (and can sometimes result in future discounted race entries)!

Speaking of discounts, don't forget as you're planning your race season that we have discounts for several local race providers. Details about which providers can be found on the TTT website, along with instructions on how to ask for a code. Be sure to take advantage of this great TTT membership benefit!

I hope everyones holidays were great, and you're all geared up for the new year! We're looking forward to a great 2018 race season, and seeing you all out at training events and on the race courses this year!
