FCCGE Cares for New Family Through Bridge Communities
FCCGE has recently adopted a new family through the Bridge Communities
transitional housing program. Robert and Alba and their 12-year-old son Robert will be living in a rent- and utilities-free apartment for the next two years while they save, diminish their debt and prepare to buy or rent on their own.

Fill the Ark
Help the Children of FCC Collect for Heifer
Our church school will be collecting funds on behalf of Heifer International's "Fill the Ark" campaign during the month of March. Each family will receive a bank and an activity calendar located for pick-up in the lobby, nursery, preschool room, hallway outside Temple of Light, and outside the Chapel beginning this Sunday, February 18th. Banks will be collected and presented in Worship April 1st and 8th.

From June 9-17, we'll be working with Appalachia Service Project (ASP) to serve a rural community in Tennessee with home repair and construction projects. Congregation Etz Chaim Extends Seder Invitation
Thursday, March 8th, 6 pm at Etz Chaim in Lombard
Congregation Etz Chaim has invited us to join them for a Passover learning Seder. At this event, you will have time to learn about the process and ask as many questions as you'd like. The holiday of Passover offers a unique opportunity to learn about Judaism and create relationships which we can use to strengthen our communities. The cost to register is $25 for adults and $18 for children, and come hungry - the best part of the Passover Seder is the food! To register, please email

Artists in Residence
Current Show Closes in only 3 Days

The current VAM Artists in Residence gallery show, featuring the work of Ed Kolar, Debbie Helledy, Jeff Edwards, Hauro Kurokawa, and Jan Rajek, closes on February 25th. If you haven't seen it already, get down there soon, so you don't miss it! Last chance!
Each of these artists will be featured in two-month long single artist shows, beginning with Ed Kolar on March 6.
The Artists in Residence Gallery is in the hallway adjacent to, and around the corner from, the Parlor. To get there, take the elevator from the Welcome Center or the stairs from the library. Hope to see you there.
