The Siddur or prayerbook presents all the values and core arguments of what it means to be Jewish. Join Rabbi Levy as we unpack the meaning of this book and try to understand the flow of a service, and why we pray what we pray. Next class meets January 25.


Fauda: Screening and Discussion with Omer
Thursday January 18 at 11:30 am
For six sessions Omer Nisanov will introduce us to an Israeli award-winning television series about a deep-cover unit of the Israeli Defense Forces. "Fauda" follows a close-knit commando unit of the Israel army whose soldiers are trained in the language, dress and mannerisms of Palestinians. Each week  Omer will screen an episode from the series, and then follow it with discussion. No registration required. Next session January 25.

Hebrew Cafe

Always wanted to learn conversational Hebrew? Join our Sh'licha (Israeli emissary) Omer Nisanov, every Monday for conversational Hebrew and coffee. Come add your voice to the conversation! No registration required.

Kickboxing with Omer

Enjoy a weekly workout of Israeli-style kickboxing, while listening to Israeli music and learning some Hebrew. All are welcome. Requires comfortable clothing and sneakers to work out in. No registration required.

Shabbat Shirah Service - Sabbath of Song

NYC based Klezmer folk-rock band, Golem, joins our clergy for Shabbat Shirah . Fusing Eastern European sounds with contemporary styles, Golem moves audiences by making the old-time styles edgy and relevant. Do not miss the chance to hear one of the most creative, engaging and musically diverse Jewish ensembles of our time.

DOROT's Winter Package Delivery

Tu Bishvat Seder

Omer Nisanov will lead an Israeli celebration of Tu Bishvat, the Israeli Arbor Day. At our Tu Bishvat Seder we will sample fruit and wine found in Israel, and learn about the Jewish and Israeli connections to nature, land, and the environment.  Sign-up here.


Cooking4HOPE
Monday, January 29 at 10:00 in the Temple kitchen
Come help prepare a meal that will be delivered to Hope Community Services, a soup kitchen in New Rochelle serving over 120 men, women and children.

Monthly Mitzvah for January
We are collecting coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and sweaters to keep families warm. Bring your donations to the bins next to the security desk.

Weekly Fridays 9:30am-10:30am
Babies and Bagels drop-in-playgroup
Offered each Friday when the ECC is in session. Come mingle, play and celebrate Shabbat with 2 year- old classes and ECC Director Sue Tolchin. Challah is provided. No RSVP needed. Any loved one welcome to attend with babies and toddlers. Open to the community
