College +
A group for all who are college age and a little older meets on Sunday Evenings from 6-8ish in the Carpenter Shop.  This Sunday a new study begins: "The Reason for God," by Tim Keller, the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City. In this book he, addresses doubts skeptics, and even ardent believers, have about religion. "Using literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and potent reasoning, Keller explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one."

ASHWEDComing Up!
This year for the season of Lent  (the weeks between Ash Wednesday Feb 14th  and Easter April 1st) we're going to learn what it means to celebrate!
God created us to enjoy a rhythm of living with him in community by which we would better understand his heart, character and purposes. In the Scriptures he gives us both reason and times to celebrate his provision, protection, and presence in appointed times. In the ancient Jewish communities these are the festivals we often call Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, as well as other times around those.
On Wednesday Evenings beginning with Ash Wednesday through Holy Week we're going to learn why God gave us the festivals, who Jesus is as the full expression of each festival, and how we might learn to celebrate better as the church that all the world might know the love of God. And since no great festival should happen without food we're going to begin as a whole church with a simple supper together!
Our times will begin as a whole church (all ages) together eating a simple supper at 5:30pm in the fellowship hall for a simple supper of soup, bread, maybe a salad.  6:15ish we're going to have a simple activity so all ages can learn about the festival of the night. 6:30-8:00 different opportunities will begin for a variety of ages.  Children will have their own activities.  Student Ministries will meet in Carpenter Shop.  Pastor Bruce will teach on the festivals in Fellowship Hall. Women's Bible Study will begin in the Fireside Room.
Look for more info in the coming weeks!  Talk with Pastor Bruce if you want more information - or want to help make it all happen!
