Excessive Winds and Your Roof(s)

Greetings!

We hope that everyone in the Midwest made it through last nights storms unscathed.  As you may have heard winds exceeeding 80 - 100 mph were reported in several areas.  Most roofs in the Midwest are not designed (or installed) to survive winds of this magnitude.  The obvious areas to investigate for wind related roof damage are the perimeter edge and near rooftop penetrations. However, not all damage may be evident by the naked eye. Extensive subsurface investigation or the use of uplift or "buble testing" may be required to uncover the total extent of wind related damage to your roof.

Detailed reporting and technical expertise are vital when documenting storm damage for a possible insurance claim. Contact us if you need assistance with inspecting your roofs or evaluating storm damage.

Thanks,
