Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney and Mr. Reggie Gordon, Director of Community Wealth Building, spoke with Upper School students from St. Christopher's and St. Catherine's on Thursday, Jan. 11. The visit was timed to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Last month, just before the start of Christmas break, eighth grade boys George Thompson, Mac Mueller and Killian Winn performed "Fortunate Son" in Middle School chapel.

Fifth grade boys and dads compete in annual "Dads Read" competition
On Thursday, Jan. 11 fathers of fifth grade boys joined their sons in the 2010 Caféfor the Lower School Learning Commons' annual "Dads Read" competition, a game-show style event that tests the boys' familiarity with many age-appropriate books. VIEW PHOTOS

Earlier this month Head of Upper School Tony Szymendera gave a chapel talk based around the song "Who Are You
?" (1978) by the British rock group The Who
. Tony touched on rock and roll history, his own background growing up in Philadelphia, Pa., the
tragic loss of Rich Hudepohl, and the Epiphany, the time in the church calendar when God reveals Himself to the world as Jesus. Tony also challenged the boys with an important homework assignment.
