New and exciting things are happening with our Small Business Partner program! On February 2, 2018 at Best Western, we are hosting our first-ever Small Business Summit. The summit is a day-long event that includes:

- Great local and state business leaders in morning and afternoon presentations

- A small business showcase featuring local entrepreneurs

At noon, don't miss an inspiring message from the leader of the state's largest and most influential business advocacy organization -- the Florida Chamber of Commerce. President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Wilson will share a powerful message on the business of equity and how small businesses can help transform Florida's economy.

SPEAKER ONE - Mary Reichardt at Butler Enterprises

With more than 15 years of experience in branding, public relations and marketing, Mary Reichardt specializes in driving sales success through market awareness and consumer engagement. Her background includes marketing a local Gainesville startup to its success as a global brand. She has worked directly under the corporate founder to create a household brand through campaigns and work with QVC, various global retailers and national media such as Vogue Magazine, Women’s World and WSJ. At Butler Enterprises she develops all marketing strategy, directs the branding, supports all leasing efforts and maintains all reporting and budgeting. She specializes in digital and social media, and is a primary point of contact for more than 140 tenants.

Mary will speak about building an enterprise by utilizing social media.

SPEAKER TWO - Bill Dorman at Crosslinear

Bill has independent management consulting experience as well as experience serving in the strategic planning division of FMI Corporation in Raleigh, North Carolina. At Raymond James Financial in St. Petersburg, Florida, Bill served as VP of Office Services and managed the firm′s national portfolio of real estate. Before joining Raymond James, Bill spent 14 years in direct, interpersonal sales with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, specializing in asset protection, intergenerational business succession planning and deferred compensation plans.

Bill will speak about using strategy as a business fundamental.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Mark Wilson at the Florida Chamber of Commerce

Mark Wilson serves as president and chief executive officer of Florida’s largest and most influential business advocacy organization. Wilson leads the substantial political, lobbying, grassroots, and economic research operations of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

Through his focus on unifying the business community, Wilson created the Florida Business Agenda and the Florida Chamber Grassroots Network, which mobilizes the business community on issues ranging from taxes and talent, to insurance and constitutional amendment reform. Wilson was also the first president of the Florida Justice Reform Institute, a Florida Chamber partner organization focused on reducing frivolous lawsuits.

In addition to his legislative successes, Wilson is also the architect of groundbreaking statewide political campaigns in 2004 and 2006 that passed significant constitutional amendment reforms, as well as numerous legislative and issue campaigns. In 2010, he served as treasurer and co-chair of the Vote No on 4 campaign, an anti-growth proposal, in one of the most successful political campaigns in Florida’s history.

A native of Illinois, Wilson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and has earned the national designation of Certified Chamber Executive (CCE). Prior to joining the Florida Chamber in 1998, Wilson served as vice president of the Chicagoland Chamber and previously served with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
