Research shows that higher rates of smoking among people with serious behavioral health conditions have led to higher mortality and morbidity; they are dying 25 years younger, many from tobacco-related illnesses.
Further, research shows that medications to treat tobacco dependence are critical to helping people with serious
behavioral health conditions quit.
What does the course offer?
This course offers research updates and an advanced understanding of medications to treat tobacco dependence. It is presented by Jill Williams, M.D., a prescribing clinician with a wealth of research and practical experience in working with smokers who have been diagnosed with serious mental health conditions.
