Have you reset your voicemail greeting yet?
Our Technology Services team completed some major phone upgrades over the winter break. Through this process, all personal greetings on individual phone lines switched back to the default setting. This means that if you had previously recorded a greeting for people to hear when receiving your
voicemail
, that has been reset and will need to be re-recorded.
This is a simple process that can be done in about 5 minutes or less. A personal greeting is always better when someone is trying to reach you!
For front office staff, please note that the campus auto attendant recordings are fine and do NOT need to be reset.
To change your greeting message:
- Log into your mailbox. (Press the button with envelope icon. Default password is 124578)
- Press 3 for Greeting Messages.
- Press 2 to change your greeting message.
- Record your message after the tone. (Recordings must be at least 3 seconds long.)
- Press 2 when you have finished recording your greeting message. You can then press 1 to hear the new message.
- Press 3 to make the message active. If you do not want to use the new recording, you can record again or hang up to use the greeting that was previously active.
- Decide whether you want to make further changes, or save your new greeting message.
To return to the previous menu, Press 8.
