Igniting the Dream of Medicine Conference

Are you a high school, undergraduate, or post-baccalaureate student interested in pursuing a career in the medical field?

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
This conference will help students gain a better understanding of health profession school, with emphasis on medical school. The conference provides interactive workshops and simulations designed to hone participants’ skills and preparation that are necessary for successful admission and matriculation.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s (NGMC) Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) is excited to announce that our Internal Medicine Residency Program and the General Surgery has received Initial Accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)! We anticipate interviewing candidates from October 2018 through January 2019. Twenty residents will be selected in March 2019, and they will arrive for their first day of residency on July 1, 2019. NGMC is located in the Northeast Georgia community of Gainesville, GA.


The Georgia Board of Physician Workforce will publish a quarterly newsletter aiming to keep you informed with up-to-date information on what is happening here at the Board, as well as insights into health issues across Georgia. Click below for the first issue.

Great job Abosede!
Congratulations to Abosede Osagie on her completion of the RN re-entry program! A huge thank you to Dr. Neal-Haley and her staff at Genesis Healthcare Associates in Smyrna for becoming a community partner with us to assist Abosede with her clinical rotation. We are grateful to Danitta Kenney, Office Manager for coordinating the rotation and to Christine and Crystal (NP’s) for serving as preceptor. Thank you to Marly, MA, for also working one on one with Abosede to ensure her success!
2018 NWGA Cardiovascular Symposium
