December 2017 Newsletter | Longmont Artists' Guild
top

I hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving, either with family and friends, or just to take the time to sit back and reflect on everything we are thankful for.

As in the past years, we will not have a meeting in December.  This is a month full of holiday cheer, get-togethers, shopping for those special people in our lives, maybe even making gifts for someone.

Aren't we fortunate to have an artistic, creative spirit that not only gives us personal joy and satisfaction, but can also be a way to give happiness to others.  Family and friends love receiving hand-made gifts, cards, paintings, etc.  Most store-bought cards eventually end up in the trash, but I for one, have kept every single home-made card, no matter how young or old the creator.  I know how much thought and effort was put into making something, and it really tugs at my heart when I look at them to know they cared enough about me to create something special.

So put a smile on someone's face this year by using your wonderful, special artistic talents to make them a memorable card or gift.  It will make your heart smile too.

Have a safe, happy, heart-warming holiday and see you next year!
