A Note from Mrs. Ryan    

Dear Parents, 

God is good. Miraculously, with the help of many people, everything is coming together beautifully to make our home campus ready for our return on Monday, January 22 nd.  When I left 4300 on Tuesday night the white marker boards were being installed.  I understand that by Friday all of the metal storage containers will be gone from the playground. On Saturday the gym will be emptied so we can have our welcome celebration there on Monday morning. The classrooms look spectacular. The library, office, and playground equipment will be completed by the following week.
 
Your children continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, and they will be leaving our parish campus with fond memories. I have heard from many different parishioners that they will be sorry to see us go and will miss the sound of children around the place. This morning the entire student body took a group photo on the steps of the church which will soon become a part of the history of St. Rose School.
 
Please read the schedule carefully to help ensure that the first day back for our students will go smoothly. Although we want their return to campus to be a joyous one, it is also important that we return to normalcy and academics as soon as possible.
 
There are so many people to thank. Most recently, the parents who helped us with the move on MLK Day were stellar.  It was truly a day-on for them rather than a day off. The teachers and I are so grateful for the can-do attitude that was so prevalent. We are again looking for parent volunteers for Saturday morning to help us finish the job, (adults only, 9am-12pm).
 
I hope you can attend our welcome back celebration and prayer service on Monday morning. I have missed you and can't wait to have us all together again.

To the dozens of parents and Cardinal Newman students who volunteered last Monday morning at the home campus. With their help, teachers were able to begin preparing their classrooms for students       to return home on Monday. 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION you need to know: THERE ARE CHANGES
  • THURSDAY 1/18 - LAST DAY ON PARISH CAMPUS FOR 8TH GRADE STUDENTS
  • FRIDAY 1/19 - LAST DAY ON PARISH CAMPUS (K-7th)  12:00 PM DISMISSAL    DRESS UNIFORM  - MASS at 9:00am - 12:00 PM DISMISSAL (NEW schedule change)
There will be NO Kindercare. The Y will be open for 1st-7th.
All students not registered for the Y must be picked up by 12:20 please.
8TH GRADE: Day with the Bishop at St. Eugene's. 8th grade students will NOT come to the parish campus today, but instead should be dropped off at St. Eugene's by 9:45am and picked up at 2:00pm. 
8th students must be in DRESS UNIFORM & bring a sack lunch. 
  • MONDAY 1/22                                                                                                             Beginning Mon. 1/22 - there is a NEW school schedule for the remainder of year
The NEW school day will BEGIN at 8:10am (no longer an 8:20 start) 
(students arriving after 8:10 bell will be tardy)
Morning Care begins at 7:15 for registered students (morning care will be in the school Chapel)
Students not registered for morning care may arrive on campus at 7:45am
The school day will END at 2:50 PM (1st - 8th)
Kindergarten school day will END at 2:30 PM (back to the original end time)

Supervision ends at 3:25 pm. 
Please register for after-school care if picking up your child by 3:25 is a challenge.
 HOT LUNCH INFO...ORDERS MUST BE TURNED IN BY TOMORROW 10AM
Daily Hot Lunch returns Tuesday Jan. 30th  (1st - 8th grades)

LUNCH ORDER must be returned TO OFFICE BY 10AM TOMORROW!! 
LATE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU IF RECEIVED AFTER 10AM on THURSDAY 1/18. Payments must be attached to lunch order or will be returned.
HOT LUNCH CREDITS due to Fire
With the hot lunch program beginning when we return to campus, the St. Rose Finance Committee has determined the best way to move forward to reinstate the program is to give our families credit on their tuition accounts for lunches that were paid for but not served due to the fire. Each family who paid for hot lunches in Oct/Nov (pre-fire) will be receiving a credit on your February SMART Tuition account or a refund check from the school depending upon how your tuition is paid. All accounts will begin with a zero balance. Account statements will be ready and sent home next week with details of your credit.
Brenda Hassur, our Hot Lunch provider, will be accepting new hot lunch orders for February with payments resuming the same manner as before. February Hot Lunch orders must have payments attached. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Orders DUE by January 18th for February delivery.
As we transition back to our home campus, ALL students will be expected to be back in regulation uniform attire. Please be sure your child (ren) has all the appropriate uniform items.

2018-19 REGISTRATION (Current families)
Reminder: beginning this year, all current school families are assumed to be returning for the next year. There will be no re-registration packets going home. Parents will receive tuition contracts at a later date to be signed and returned. If your family will not be returning to St. Rose School in the fall, please inform the office in writing by March 31st, 2018.
Financial Assistance Priority deadline is March 2nd.
