The artist Cynthia Hoppin Shuler has an extensive and impressive resume' of training and exhibition.

Studying first in San Antonio, Texas, she won a competitive Fine Art scholarship at the University of Texas, Austin. She then completed her B.F.A. at Miami University in Ohio, with further studies under Beauvais Lyons at the University of Tennessee. She later studied under Jura Bedic at the Florence Academy of Fine Art in Italy.

She has exhibited in one and two man shows in several states, and has competed in international, national, and regional shows, winning acclaim and awards multiple times. Shuler has been represented by galleries in Tennessee, Florida, and South Carolina, and her work is in private collections in North America, as well as in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Her work shows a combination of impressionistic and expressionistic influences, with a rich pallet of joyous color. She delights in the range of subject matter available in the Low Country, and is particularly drawn to the figurative riches presented by the beaches of the Grand Strand.
