SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Isabel D.
Isabel has already applied to 7 colleges in Maryland, DC, New York, Boston and more!

1. What are you interested in studying in college and why?
In college I am interested in studying either Biochemistry or Pre-Medicine to prepare me for me for Medical School. I have always been interested in pursuing medicine and becoming a doctor ever since I was a little girl.

2. What are you passionate about?
Outside of school, I am most passionate about figure skating. I skate 5 days a week to prepare for competitions and on the weekends I teach skating to people of all ages. In school, I am most passionate about research. I think its amazing to be able to learn new concepts and skills through hands-on experimental learning rather than having to read a textbook.

3. What part of college are you looking forward to the most?
I think I look most forward to having a more flexible schedule in
college, but I am also looking forward to making new friends, joining a lab and making new memories!

4. Isabel's advice for Juniors in CollegeTracks:
Get your work done as soon as possible! College is quite important and it's always better to finish early and get important things out of the way than procrastinating and rushing to try and make important deadlines.
