PTA Art Night Extravaganza Rescheduled!
Thursday, January 25th, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Artwork by students from each grade will be on display throughout the school. The SFES Choir Chimes group will perform. Snacks and drinks will be served after the award presentation.

Family Valentine's Day Dance

The PTA will be hosting a brand new event - a dance to show our
love for SFES and the families that make up our community.

Talbott Springs Elementary School (TSES)

URGENT! Junior Achievement in a Day (JA in a Day) at TSES:  Volunteers still needed!
Volunteers will spend the day teaching TSES children about financial literacy on Tuesday, January 30th. All materials will be provided by Junior Achievement (JA), as will scripted lessons. There is a brief, mandatory training for all volunteers on Thursday January 18th (8:30 a.m.). Change Matters: The TSES Change Matters Campaign
Begins on Thursday January 17th
Change Matters is an approved Howard County Public School System program that teaches children  about homelessness in Howard County, the services Grassroots provides, and age appropriate  information regarding philanthropy. The small change collected will go directly to Grassroots to  provide the essential services needed to help the children and families that are homeless here in
our community.

HC Drug Free is looking for parent/adult volunteers. Please email [email protected] to volunteer. Include your availability and specify whether you can type, are willing to drive to pharmacies or liquor stores, and/or have any special skills or interests. 

Blessings in a Backpack
Please support Talbott Springs in this Community Outreach program. One hundred percent of the money raised goes to purchase food. To support Blessings in a Backpack, visit  blessingsinabackpack.org and select Talbott Springs. All donations are tax deductible. We thank you for your support for our students in need.  

A-OK Mentoring 
Make a difference! Help enhance the academic and social development of identified Howard County elementary school students in schools near you through a consistent, supportive relationship with a child.  Volunteers must be available weekday, daytime hours to meet one-on-one with an assigned student during the school day or with students in small groups in afterschool programs.
