TVNPA’s community thrives on its network of people who connect through their nonprofit organizations & the people they serve.

In March, we’ll dive into how to grow and strengthen your network while perfecting the use of database tools to stay connected. Join us as TVNPA Co-Founder Mony Nop leads an energizing, interactive workshop on the art of networking!

In this interactive session, you will learn about the true art of networking and connecting with others. This lively session will be presented by Mony Nop, TVNPA Co-Founder and Vice President, who will illustrate key leadership and networking concepts developed by experts in the field: John C. Maxwell (5 Levels of Leadership), Malcolm Gladwell, and Brian Buffini.

This will be a “hands-on” session with discussions and exercises designed to increase the learning experience. The information provided will help you build strong relationships with your daily contacts with an emphasis on building and growing your network. Mony will also demonstrate how to perfect your database in order to increase your bottom line while developing, organizing and expanding your own sphere of influence.

About Our Speaker:   

MONY NOP is a licensed realtor and owner of Mony Nop Real Estate in Livermore. Prior to becoming a realtor, Mony served 17 years as a police officer at the City of Livermore Police Department. As a Cambodian immigrant who was born into a life of hardship in slave labor camps under the Pol Pot Regime, Mony understands first-hand the challenges that young adults face. He has made it his life’s passion to serve his community by involving himself significantly in local nonprofit organizations. Mony and his family escaped when he was 6 years old, walking from Cambodia to Thailand. They lived in multiple refugee camps in Thailand and the Philippines, until they immigrated to the U.S. and resettled in California in 1983. At his core, Mony is driven by a desire to make a difference in the world by helping children, so that they never have to suffer as he did as a child. To illustrated the valuable role police officers play in the community, Mony recently authored the children’s book: Officer M.N.O.P and Me—How Police Officers Serve the Community On and Off Duty.

Prio to co-founding the TVNPA in 2014, Mony also founded the Mony Nop Foundation in 2012 with a mission to grow the next generation of young adult leaders through Leadership Academy programs and camps. Mony is also 2016 Past-President of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, Greater East Bay Chapter, as well as involved with the Bay East Association of Realtors. In recognition of his community involvement, he was awarded the 2014 Bay East Association of Realtors’ Good Neighbors Award, the 2017 National Association of Realtors’ Good Neighbor Award, and the 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award by the Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative. Mony received his  A.A. in Criminal Justice from San Joaquin Delta College and a B.A. in Business Management at St. Mary’s College.

TVNPA Monthly Meetings are always open to the community at large at no cost.

There is no fee to attend TVNPA's monthly meetings. Membership in the alliance is not required to participate. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required! We encourage you to bring your colleagues. Simply add additional colleagues when you register for the event.
