UPDATED NEWS:
Many have complained that the comment period has been closed by the NRC, but there is still a way around that.
The NRC policy is this: "Submit comments by January 2, 2018. Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the Commission is able to ensure consideration only for comments received before this date."
It also stated that we should:
Address questions about NRC dockets to Carol Gallagher;
You can still tell the NRC
what you think of the thin canisters they approved for San Onofre.
Now you can send your comments to:
Include Docket ID NRC-2017-0211 with your submission.
I am including my endorsement for the
document attached here from SanOnofreSafety.org.
You can simply express your concerns over using thin temporary storage containers instead of thick casks used by other countries. Keep it simple and from the heart.
You might also mention your support for the SanOnofreSafety.org comment submitted by Donna Gilmore.
THANKS FOR TAKING QUICK ACTION
WHEN WE NEED YOU
Another request from readers has been to get access to the poster boards I put together for the rally. Because they are large file sizes you'll need to go to this link provided for high resolution files.
We are looking into more effective ways to protect you and yours, but some cost more than we can afford right now. Ultimately, we would like to hire our own nuclear experts and legal team that can lead to improving this dire situation.
