Spelling Bee Finalists Look to Great Hearts Bee
Congratulations to Spelling Bee winner Alexandra Valletta and runner-up Francesca Drapeau!
After a semester of preparing with Mr. Winebrenner, more students than ever competed for the Veritas Prep school title. After a 45-minute competition, it came down to a tight contest between the two finalists, Alexandra Valletta (pictured below, left) and Francesca Drapeau (right). Alexandra will head to the Great Hearts Spelling Bee in January, and Francesca will serve as the alternate for that event. The winner there could end up continuing on to nationals! Congratulations to these students and to all of our brave competitors! See you again next year!

We love to recognize the good work our students do in the classroom and beyond. In future issues we will be featuring
  • Student poems
  • Student artwork
  • Short essays
  • Honors and recognitions
Teachers will be referring student poetry and artwork. If you would like to offer a submission, please send us a note here.
Development
Including Veritas in 2017 Charitable Giving
The education being offered to our students at Veritas Prep will have a lasting and deep impact on their lives and our community. This education is only possible with your support. If you've made your gifts to our   Community Investment campaign and Tax Credit drive, thank you!

If you've yet to make your gifts, please do so soon. Winter Break is coming and it's time to complete your charitable giving for 2017!
  • Gifts to our Community Investment campaign support our teachers inside the classroom by helping us close the gap between what we receive in public funding and the actual cost to deliver a liberal arts education to our students. Donations made to the Community Investment campaign are tax-deductible for both federal and state purposes.
  • Gifts to our Tax Credit drive support our qualified extra-curricular, athletics, and clubs. Donations made to the Tax Credit drive are tax-deductible for federal purposes and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit off your state tax liability.
Together, we can provide the education our students deserve and we chose for them. Thank you for partnering with Veritas Prep.
