Thank you for all of your support of THON--this year Trinity raised $85,255.01!  In addition to that amount, the committee raised funds to cover all costs of the event, so that 100% of the registration fees and student/faculty/community donations go to Four Diamonds! This is the biggest total for Trinity yet and is due to the hard work of the THON committee, all of our Trinity students and families who gave generously and raised funds, and the faculty and staff who were supportive in many ways, both in and out of school! Approximately 92% of our students attended our mini-THON; out of 260 mini-THONs across the state, we have one of the five highest participation rates and one of the top 10  per capita donation rates! This only reinforces what an awesome community of students, faculty, and families we have here at Trinity! Thank you all for your support! FTK!

Spiritual Reflections
By Scott Root, Campus Minister

Gospel for Sunday, February 25, 2018--The Second Sunday in Lent
Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no fuller on earth could bleach them. Then Elijah appeared to them along with Moses, and they were conversing with Jesus. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, "Rabbi, it is good that we are here! Let us make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." He hardly knew what to say, they were so terrified. Then a cloud came, casting a shadow over them; from the cloud came a voice, "This is my beloved Son. Listen to him." Suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone but Jesus alone with them. As they were coming down from the mountain, he charged them not to relate what they had seen to anyone, except when the Son of Man had risen from the dead. So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what rising from the dead meant. --Mark 9:2-10

Reflection
In today’s Gospel we see the transfigured Christ and hear the voice of the Father: “This is my Beloved Son. Listen to Him.” This is an echo of the story of Jesus’ Baptism. If we are listening to Him, then we are giving the same answer as Abraham from today’s first reading: “Here I am.” To listen to Jesus is to come to know Him. To listen to Jesus is a call to conversion in our own lives and action to help those in need. To listen to Jesus is to have a burning desire, deep within our hearts and souls, to be transfigured. Lent calls us to conversion, to transfiguration, so that we can truly rejoice with Jesus in the eternal Easter celebration.
Saint of the Week – Blessed Daniel Brottier, February 28
Some people would call Blessed Daniel Brottier "lucky." But in the eyes of faith, God’s providence and desire for Blessed Daniel to do great things in his kingdom is what protected him in some very dangerous situations. Blessed Daniel cooperated with that providence and became an example to all.

For more information on the saints, visit Franciscan Media’s Saint of the Day website.
Prayer
O God,
who have commanded us to listen to Your beloved Son,
be pleased, we pray,
to nourish us inwardly by Your word,
that, with spiritual sight made pure,
we may rejoice to behold Your glory.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
