PCL is excited to host three performances during the
20th Annual FUNDA FEST: A Celebration of Black Storytelling from January 13-
20, 2018. FUNDA FEST is Rhode Island Black Storytellers' big week long celebration of storytelling - funda means means to teach and to learn in Zulu and KiSwahili - and features spoken word concerts and workshops for people of all ages. It's a highlight of the winter calendar in the Ocean State.

America is a nation of immigrants and people have sought refuge and opportunity in this country for many different reasons, right up to the present day. From January to April 2018, a "Welcoming Rhode Island" storyboard exhibit will go on tour around four Providence Community Library locations.
