VRBC SPRING GROWTH SEMINAR
THREE HABITS TO ACCELERATE YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
THIS SUNDAY | 12:15 TO 2:15 PM | FREE TO ATTEND

Would you like to turbocharge your relationship with Christ  in 2018? Then j oin us at our first VRBC Growth Seminar: Three Habits to Accelerate Your Spiritual Growth. This Sunday, from 12:15 to 2:15 pm, we will visit together about three powerful habits that will make a significant difference in your day-to-day life in the new year.

During this interactive and engaging seminar, we will not only talk about the biblical case for these three habits, but we'll also get really practical about how to incorporate them into your life and schedule. And don't worry . . . these habits don't require a Ph.D. or any special training. You just need a desire to follow Jesus more passionately than ever before.

The seminar is FREE and includes lunch, childcare, and loads of practical resources  to help you get started with these habits. To register, CLICK HERE. Guests are very  welcome, and everyone can benefit from this seminar, so be sure to invite someone you know to come along with you!
GROW GROUP REGISTRATION
SIGN-UPS CONTINUE THIS WEEK!

Grow Groups begin meeting on January 28 for the spring semester. Be sure to register if you haven't done so already! Register online at  vrbc.net/grow.

I'M STILL NOT SURE . . . WHY SHOULD I JOIN A GROW GROUP?
We can tell you lots of great reasons to join a Grow Group, but don't just take our word for it!  Click here to watch a short video and hear why EVERYONE should be a part of a Grow Group.

HOW DO I PICK A GROUP THAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?
Most of our groups cover topics related to the message from that week's worship service, but we also have several topical groups, such as Starting Point (a conversation about faith for those new or returning to Christianity, re|engage (a marriage enrichment group), and Financial Peace University (a group focused on bringing peace to your financial life). Check out vrbc.net/grow for more information on available groups.

re|engage
and Financial Peace University
This spring, both re|engage (our marriage enrichment program) and Financial Peace University (FPU) are a part of the Grow Group class offerings. If you would like to participate in re|engage or FPU and one of our sermon-based groups, feel free to sign up for both!
RE|ENGAGE
INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON JANUARY 22

Are you prepared for the next phase of your marriage journey?   Recently married?   New parents? Children? Teenagers? Empty nesters? Blended family? You are not alone.

Relengage is a safe place for married couples to grow together and to learn new communication skills, as well as how to navigate different stages of life together. Whether you are happily married and just want to improve your relationship or you find your marriage is in distress, relengage can help.

Join us for this spring semester Grow Group experience. It will include a time of music, prayer, and stories by couples who have navigated different life stages and experiences, as well as small group time, which follows a specified biblically based curriculum.

We meet from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Monday nights at VRBC, beginning with an informational meeting on January 22. Relengage officially kicks off the following Monday, January 29 (Grow Group kick-off week). Free childcare is available. Please contact Karen McCord for details at [email protected].
CELEBRATE BAPTISM AT VRBC
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7

If you have been thinking recently about following Jesus in baptism, we have a great opportunity coming up! At 6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 7 , we will host a special baptism service in the worship center. This will be a fun, informal celebration of the new life that Jesus brings. We'll sing together, witness the baptism of those taking that step, and enjoy some refreshments. If you're interested in being a part of this celebration by being baptized, email John at  [email protected]  and he'll get you all the details.
JASON THOMAS

We are excited to announce that beginning this month, Jason Thomas, our Associate Minister of Worship, will also begin serving as our Interim Student Minister.  He has had many years of investing in our students and will do a great job building strong relationships with our student leaders, parents, and our students.  He will be working with lots of great existing leaders, including Julie McCord and Trent Richardson from staff, key volunteers Sheri Dixon and Leia Spoor, and all of our other amazing student ministry leaders.  We look forward to seeing God do great things in our student ministry in the coming days!
