Artist and instructor, Nina Ortiz, is a long standing resident of North Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art from USC and studied at the Marchutz School of Art in Aix en Provence, France. Her career
accomplishments
include opening and participating in several galleries and shows, as well as creating exciting and attractive art shows for adult and children's artwork.
She has taught art to children for over 20 years for local city recreation centers, as well as private and public schools, accumulating in the program she has penned as FUNtastic Art! This name describes the work they produce and the fun they have creating. Nina continues to enjoy teaching and making art, and sharing her passion through many facets of her after school arts program.
As an accomplished artist, Nina believes that "Good art is inspired. And artists should express this wonder and discovery in process as well as in the finished work." She is the recipient of several local, state and regional art awards. Nina's art work can be found in private and commercial collections, locally and abroad, personally commissioned and purchased.
Nina will have her work "All Roads and Waves Lead to Beachville" in the upcoming 2018 ArtFields in Lake City, SC. This is her second time exhibiting at ArtFields.
