THANK YOU to those who came to our PTA Meeting last Thursday!
We had 3 special guest speakers, voted to endorse the upcoming Bond/Levy, learned about the writing curriculum from Mrs. Thome and emotion management from Ms. Bauer. Principal Clark and the PTA both gave updates and we also had to vote on some budget cuts due to our lower than expected Pass The Hat numbers (suggested donation amount of $85/per student per year). Learn more about that in Last Week's Bugle here.
We also got some awesome thank you letters from some of our students for some of the things we have funded for them this year! Here are a few of them!

5th GRADE PROMOTION CHAIRS/TEAM NEEDED
*
Traditionally 4th grade (& below) parents
Each school year, a small committee of 4th grade parents and staff get together to plan for a wonderful end-of-year send-off to our fifth graders. The plans include creating special banners for each graduate (the committee simply helps create the blank template with each graduate's name on it), setting up the gym the day before graduation to post all of the banners and set up the stage, order the cake and waters, and help serve the cake and support the event on graduation day (typically from
9:00am-11am
). It's a very easy and fun way to help support a very special event for our fifth graders. If you are interested in serving as a chair person for this year's 5th grade promotion, please contact
Ellie O'Rourke
(last year's 5th grade promotion chair), who can send you all of the specific information. Thanks!
