National Development Council's
Rental Housing Development Finance Professional (RHDFP)
Certification

New Hampshire Housing is pleased to offer its partners an opportunity to attend the National Development Council's (NDC) Rental Housing Development Finance Professional (RHDFP) Certification program in 2018 without leaving Northern New England. This training is being organized by our friends at Vermont Housing Finance Agency and each of the three courses will be hosted by one of the Northern New England HFAs.

The courses are explained in depth online. They are ideal for developers, investors, underwriters, and property managers who are interested in learning more about how rental housing development finance works in depth.

The plan is to offer all three courses that make up the certification program in 2018, with each class being offered in a different location:
  1. HD420- Rental Housing Development Finance, a 5 day course, will be held in Vermont April 9 to the 13th in Burlington, VT. Training and accommodations will be at the Hilton in downtown Burlington with special room rate of $102/night.
  2. HD423- Computer Spreadsheet Analysis for Rental Housing, a 3 day course, will be held in Portland, Maine the week of June 4th. Exact dates and venue to be determined.
  3. HD435- Problem Solving and Deal Structuring, a 5 day course, will be held in Manchester, NH October 1-5. Training will be at the Falls event center on Front Street with accommodations at the adjacent La Quinta.
There is no prerequisite for the first course but each class builds upon the material of the past so you must have taken the first class before attending the second, and both of those before taking the third.

Traditionally, the week-long classes cost $1,375 each and are only offered in California, DC and Minneapolis, making them prohibitively expensive since it typically costs $8,000 to travel and attend all three courses.
New Hampshire Housing is subsidizing the registration cost for all New Hampshire attendees. The cost will be 80% of the sticker price bringing the cost of the 5-day courses to $1,100 and the 3-day course to $660.

There are only 15 spots available for New Hampshire based professionals, so we ask that you indicate your interest quickly. We will be prioritizing those participants who plan to attend all three courses.

If you have questions, or are interested in attending, please email Jess McCarthy at jmccarthy@nhhfa.org who will take your information and send you the link to register online.

All interested attendees for the HD420- Rental Housing Development Finance course should email
Jess no later than February 22nd
