Any absence or tardy not accompanied by notification will be considered unexcused and will prompt an automatic email notification to the parents.

Absence:  Absences may be excused with parent/guardian permission due to illness or emergency, appointment, or pre-arranged multi-day absences. We encourage families to plan vacation during school breaks.

The full policy can be downloaded here as a pdf.

Welcome Our New Director of Student Life!

We are excited to announce that Jim Fox is joining our school as our new Director of Student Life! Below is a brief introduction from Mr Fox.

"As a five-year-old, living in Southern California, I somehow managed (the Good Lord's providence) to discover an expansion NFL team called “The Seahawks of Seattle,” and it was love at first sight. I instantly knew that I would someday call Seattle my home (this is a true story). Twenty years later, that dream became a reality; with a degree in Visual Communications my wife and I moved north. I spent the next 15 as a graphic designer and web developer before responding to a call to pastoral ministry. I began my education at Seattle University’s seminary, graduated from Seattle Pacific University, and was was ordained through Vineyard Community Church. A year later we planted Pilgrimage, a church in the Crown Hill neighborhood that I pastor today. At Pilgrimage, "Connecting the Disconnected” is a phrase we use to talk about one of the ways we follow Jesus; it is my passion,* and I am looking forward to continuing that mission as the Director of Student Life here at SCS.

* My other passions include my family, comic books, naps, Star Wars, my ‘65 T-bird, laughing, giant robots, and my French Bulldogs, Gizmo and Ploo"

You can read more on our blog about what Jim will be focusing on as the Director of Student Life.
