Gloria Hardy Timmons has dabbled in acrylics, watercolors and oils off and on for years not taking herself seriously until retirement from a counseling practice offered her the opportunity to focus on her burning desire to "see where this will take me." Growing up in Lake City, South Carolina, home to ArtFields, and spending summers at the coast, she has been inspired by local scenery which "when you live and breathe it, you've just got to paint it!" She is a member of the Seacoast Artists Guild of South Carolina, Oil Painters of America and Burroughs and Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
