THE SECOND SUNDAY IN LENT

Gentle  Read er,
What's in a name ?  Quite a lot, actually!  Research has shown that, contrary  to what Shakespeare wrote, a rose by any other name would not smell as sweet to us.  Names help shape how we perceive our world and ourselves.

This week in worship, God changes a man's name as a reminder of the fresh start and the new life that He is giving.  Throughout his life that man named Abraham wrestled with his own faith in wheth
er God would be faithful to what He had promised.  As it turns out, God is faithful and the new name he gives each of us truly makes a difference.  Come as you are, and hear the name that God has for you.  It may just change your life!

Traditional Worship  8:30am
Contemporary Worship led by the children of the congregation  10:00am

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Do you love music?  Would you enjoy helping to shape the experience of  Sunday morning Worship?

Then Hymn Pickers may be for you!  Hymn Pickers is a worship team that meets quarterly to select hymns and liturgy for the  8:30 worship service.

In order to keep the team diverse and energetic, each year we rotate one or two folks off and add new members to replace them.  This year we are looking for one (1) new member to join us in hymn and liturgy selection for the 2018-2019 school year. Passion for Jesus, music and worship are required.  Ability to read music is not. :-)

If you are interested contact Pastor Grant.

"For our 150th Anniversary year, we want to purposefully measure the difference we make in our world.
We want to celebrate all the lives we touch in big and small ways.  And we are asking you to count those blessings and get your numbers to the church council each month.

Our ministries should be focused on the good that we do for people-- in our congregation and outside of our congregation."    Shirley Zierke
