Lorraine (Lori) Dauphin moved to Myrtle Beach from Connecticut with her husband Roland, eight years ago. Lori has been drawing and painting from nature since childhood. She earned an Associate's Degree graphic design/illustration at the Art Institute of Boston and spent several years as assistant Art Director for a major corporation. A successful freelance designer and illustrator since 1994, Lori has integrated her pastel drawings into several design projects, and has appeared in The Directory of Illustration. Her pastels and oils also hang in businesses, private homes and small galleries throughout the Northeast and South Carolina. Lori's submission for MB 2010 Food and Wine week poster competition, took third place.

Lori is becoming known for her portraiture and pet portraits. In addition to exhibiting at Seacoast Gallery at the Market Common, Lori is a member of the Seacoast Artists Guild, and she takes class with artist Jeffrey Sturm.
