LPA Annual Family Meeting

Join us this upcoming Tuesday, February 20th, at 7:00 p.m. for our annual family meeting. This is the time we set aside every year to celebrate all God has done in the past year and look forward to what is to come in the upcoming years. Among other news, administration and staff will be sharing the vision for LPA through 2020, updating the community on the current accreditation process, and providing registration information for the 2018-2019 school year. We will see you there!

Elementary Art Students Enter SCACS competition

For the first time, Lake Pointe students are participating in the annual SCACS final arts competition. Several pieces have been selected from last semester's art classes to be entered along with artist statements from the student creators. To see these LPA elementary students' work on display, visit the SCACS Fine Arts Festival on March 2 hosted at Hampton Park.

Registration Meetings Begin
In preparation for next year's registration, administrators  and parents of raising 8th and 9th graders met to review LPA's graduation requirements and consider various course plans for the upcoming year.


Sock Hop
Secondary Student Life hosted its first sock hop. Keeping in theme with a classic sock hops, students had a 1950's dance competition and dressed in '50's style.












The History of Language
LPA 5th and 6th grade science classes explored the creation and development of language throughout the ages at the JAARS Museum of Language. As part of their experience, museum staff led them through grade appropriate demonstrations and presentations.

In and around the classrooms

Doc Talk
Students and staff spent time discussing doctrine and how it affects every day life. Among other topics, they examined how Christian faith influences what media we take in and how we interpret various songs and movies.

More or Less Solid
Seventh grade science study the porosity and permeability  of various solids by timing how long a controlled amount of water takes to absorb into  or drain through them.






Edible Moon Phases
While studying the earth and her moon, second graders created edible crescent, gibbous, and quarter moons with Oreos.



Studying before Playoffs
Basketball players visited campus to study and take assessments on an elementary day in preparation for their state playoffs.

Mariners at State
Congratulations to the varsity basketball players who are competing in the state tournament this weekend. The girls faced Maranatha Christian School Friday morning, and the game was live streamed into the school's lobby for students and teachers to watch when they weren't in class. The boys will play Friday afternoon at 4:30. Both teams will play Saturday as well: girls at 9:00 am and the boys at either 10:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m.. All games can be live streamed here
