Webinar Education Series

With the enactment of AB 1728 (2017), Healthcare Districts are now required to have a grants policy in place.  ACHD understands that many Healthcare Districts offer grants to community partners to aid in meeting the District's mission.  Therefore, our next installment of our webinar series will focus on how your District can implement or enhance your grant policy program.

Our Best Practices in Grant Policies webinar will be presented by El Camino Hospital, which has a longstanding robust and successful grant program.  Our speakers, Barbara Avery,   Director of Community Benefit  for El Camino Hospital, and Sharon Johal, Senior Community Benefit Specialist for El Camino Hospital, will speak to their program and lessons they have learned along the way.

During this session, attendees will:

1)  Learn ways to ensure your District's mission is reflected in your grants policy;
2)  Learn strategies for developing or enhancing the rigor of your grants management program, and;
3) Gain a deeper understanding on how to structure  and improve your District's grant program program and benchmarks to include in the District's grant policy.

  As a reminder, these webinars are FREE!

The Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD) represents Healthcare Districts throughout the state's urban, suburban and rural areas. California is home to 79 Healthcare Districts that play a profound role in responding to the specialized health needs of local communities by providing access to essential health services to tens of millions of Californians while also having direct accountability to the communities that Districts serve. In many areas, Healthcare Districts are the sole source of health, medical and well-being services in their communities.
