Debanjana Bhattacharjee
Myrtle Beach, SC
Originally from Mumbai, India, Debanjana Bhattacharjee now lives in South Carolina, USA. She holds a post graduate diploma in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art History from Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai. Her artistic practices are a blend of her Indian and western aesthetics's sensibilities.
In 2015 Debanjana was recognized with a Proclamation from the Mayor of Edinburg, Texas for her artistic (painting and sculpting) achievements.
A self-taught artist, Debanjana enjoys working with acrylics; the quick drying medium helps her with the intuitive expressionist style of work. She believes the desire to create and express is part of her everyday art making practice.
Debanjana is excited about her recent selection in Artfields in 2018 Competition. A nine days art event from April 20-28, 2018, Artfields is a competition where artists from 12 Southeast States of USA compete for selection.
